The Problem

Addiction is a chronic disease with deadly consequences.

Over 100,000 people die from overdose each year, more than in the entire Vietnam and Gulf Wars combined.  Because addiction is often treated as an acute vs. a chronic disease, rehab programs don't stay connected to their clients after initial treatment helping to drive relapse rates as high as 85% in the first year following treatment.

1 in 10 adolescents will develop addiction before they leave high school.  The disease rewires their brain before it has time to fully develop making addiction harder to treat.
